The Late Great Billy Smith (pic) was one of the first DJ's to play Joe Clinard's original Cannonball's records "No good to cry" with Danny Pierce on Vocals. Later in 1972 Joe, Bucky Cherry & Jerry Hutchens wrote "You Keep Telling me Yes" and Chris "PegLeg" Miller was lead singer. Duke Hall of the Platters was producer at Reflection Studios. Clinard was the only band horn player that played on the record with his famous Alto Sax break. Cannonball was mostly a Rock and Roll band and played very little beach music during those years
